Joshua Wade received the BS in Computer Science from Middle Tennessee State University in 2013 and the MS in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University in 2015. Mr. Wade is CEO of Adaptive Technology Consulting, which he co-founded with Dr. Nilanjan Sarkar, his former academic advisor in the graduate school at Vanderbilt University. Over the past seven years, Mr. Wade has worked with Dr. Sarkar to develop software systems for applications in healthcare, particularly mental health applications for assessment and treatment.
Nilanjan Sarkar received the PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 and is currently Professor and Chair of Mechanical Engineering at Vanderbilt University. For nearly two decades, Dr. Sarkar has led research at the Robotics & Autonomous Systems Laboratory (RASL) at Vanderbilt University, where he has overseen multi-million-dollar projects funded by major agencies and organizations including the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, NASA, DARPA, and the Autism Speaks Foundation, among many others. At RASL, Dr. Sarkar has advised dozens of graduate students and published hundreds of scientific articles.
